The biggest trend we find today is people are 20-50000 km overdue on their car service.

What this does is cause premature wear to your engine. Not changing your oil regularly results in all the contaminates getting into the engine by air and fuel and the process of combustion end up in your engines oil sump.

This oil is then recirculated through the motor as lubrication for all your moving engine parts.

The longer the oil stays in the engine the dirtier the oil gets. As the oil breaks down this will cause more wear and tear on various engine components and in the end premature engine failure (eg noisy engine, oil leaks, lack of power, loss of fuel economy).

So by changing your oil regularly (eg 6 months or 10000 km which ever comes first) you will actually save money and enjoy driving your car with peace of mind less breakdowns and less expense.
